should be concise yet sufficiently detailed to permit critical review. All
submissions must be via email to the Editor and must contain an abstract,
which should not exceed 250 words. Manuscripts should conclude with a
section on Recommendations for Practice stating what the implications of

recommendations for change indicated by the research results. Manuscripts
must be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief, Russell Porter, Ph.D., Ed.D. at
russellporter@clayton.edu Submission of Manuscripts An
Original and one copy of each manuscript should be submitted to the editor
as an email (same email, separate files). Authors may submit manuscripts
on disk, but the review process will be considerably longer. The email and
disk submissions should be prepared using MS Word or WordPerfect and
should be clearly labeled with the authors’ names, file name, and
software program. All parts of the manuscript should be typewritten,
double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number
manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also
supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not
exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an
abstract of 150-250 words, which should be typed, double-spaced, on a
separate page. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text
within the abstract. All
papers, including figures, tables, and references, must conform to the
specifications described in the Publication Manual of the American
Psychological Association (Current Edition). Any papers that do not adhere
to this style will be returned for revision. Each
manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been
published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for
publication elsewhere (same email or disc). Authors are responsible for
obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources
and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the
publisher. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the
property of the publisher. Tables and Figures Tables
and figures should be embedded in the text and ready for print. A short
descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and
any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included.
Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size
reduction. All original figures should be clearly marked and able to be
downloaded via an email or disc medium. Illustrations Illustrations
submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.)
should be clean originals and with digital
files. Digital files are accepted only and with the following
recommendations for highest quality reproduction:
No
color illustrations will be considered for publication. Reprints The
corresponding author of each article (designate one for each article) will
receive one complete copy of the issue in which the article appears. Copyrighting
of the copy allows for up to 10 copies to be distributed by the
corresponding author (either in virtual or printed medium).
Reprints of an individual article may be ordered from Socratic
Publishing by using the reprint order form included with the copy email.
Each reprint will allow for an additional 10 copies either in
virtual or printed medium by the corresponding author at the cost of $29. |
