Dental Hygiene - RDH/BSDH Completion Program Information
Expand your practice. The RDH-BSDH track builds on the knowledge, experience, and unique educational needs of the adult learner. Because we offer a wide variety of courses, you'll have the skills necessary to expand your professional practice and keep pace with the rapidly changing world of health care delivery.
- If you hold an associate degree, the BSDH degree is the next step on the educational ladder. It prepares graduates for leadership, management and independent hygiene roles.
- If you want to continue your education into a master's level program, you must complete a bachelor's degree before entering graduate school. The most common area of master's specialization is education.
- Do you want to advance in your dental career? Baccalaureate prepared hygienists are more qualified to see employment beyond traditional clinical practice.
- Are you dedicated to helping a wide range of people achieve and maintain good oral health? The BSDH graduate possess a broad perspective concerning the health care environment, cultural diversity, technological advancements and leadership skills.
Progress toward a degree with Clayton State's RDH-BSDH track, you can complete the dental hygiene courses needed to receive a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) degree. After you've completed your core classes and have been accepted into the program you can complete upper division dental hygiene courses in as few as three semesters. Progression is possible on a full-time or part-time basis, and our schedules are designed to accommodate working hygienist. Courses are offered during the day and evening and online options are available for many courses.
